Arrangements

Taylor’s arrangements are like flower arrangements except in this case materials are not limited to the garden but extend to include sculpture, found objects, reference material and raw material, as well as, family heirlooms and knickknacks. After first building a form of a resource library, Taylor is able to establish new relationships through the juxtaposition of items within a compositional space. Architectural elements such as cast blocks, glass, scrap wood, plastic rods, and dresser drawers are brought into to create a system of display which can be used to accentuate connections, highlight interdependence or de-emphasize hierarchy. Taylor’s arrangements often take on the shape of a tableau and behave as drawings in a 3-Dimensional space.
