Who Own's The Moon?
Who Own's The Moon?

I have been told that during the colonial era after all the trees had been cut down to be used as fuel for the iron and glass industries, that the Pine Barrens looked like the surface of the moon. This project connects land claims historically made in the Pine Barrens with extraterrestrial land claims (or, claims to the moon). If you cook moonshine too long, it generates methanol which can make you blind as opposed to drunk. I was thinking of romantics such as Jenaro Gajardo Vera (a Chilean lawyer, painter and poet who famously registered himself as owner of the moon) as drunk and those proposing to make a profit on the US’s first National Reserve (through the development of a jetport or megalopolis) as blind. Two sides of the same coin.
